This customer produces excellent commercial cleaning tools for carpet and tile, among others.

The Challenge

This application, a commercial carpet cleaner, had a high torque requirement in a harsh commercial cleaning application that involved heat, water, dirt, and physical handling.  The motor was overheating causing the armature shafts to fail, and the overall product life was not optimum.
